Taekwon-Do (Junior TKD- Ages 5 to 14; Adult TKD- Ages 12 & up)

Taekwon-Do means "The way of the hands and feet" in Korean. This powerful art of self-defense, founded by General Choi, Hong-Hi, utilizes hand and foot techniques, combined with various endurance exercises, drills, sparring and Tuls (patterns) to develop power, focus, and the skill needed for self protection.

The study of Taekwon-Do offers many unique advantages in the development and maintenance of one's physical health, and the development of outstanding character and discipline through the Five Tenets: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, Indomitable Spirit.

Students will learn a historical appreciation for Korean culture, receive excellent physical workouts, and develop life skills to help achieve success in all aspects of life.
TKD Tigers (Age 3 to 5)

TKD Tigers is designed as a "pre-K" for young martial artists. The goal of this program is to prepare children physically (through gross motor skill and coordination development) and mentally (through a series of child life lessons based around the Five Tenets of Taekwon-Do) to graduate into the Junior Taekwon-Do program. Upon completion of the program students earn the rank of Junior-Yellow Belt and begin training with students in the Junior TKD classes.
Defensive Hapkido (Ages 14 & up)

Hapkido is a self-defense system which originated in Korea under Choi, Yong-Sul. Traditional Hapkido training is based on ceremonial rituals, big movements, elaborate throwing and locking, and high kicking similar to Taekwon-Do.

Defensive Hapkido is a modern approach to traditional self-defense, without patterns, high kicks or traditional meditation. Our unique system is based on simplified movements that utilize scientific theory for quick and easy use to neutralize or diffuse a threat and make a safe getaway. We explore the legal aspects of integrating certain techniques in security fields such as bouncers, guards or law enforcement agents.

In addition, our system is dynamic and constantly evolving to meet new self-defense scenarios that occur in our modern society. To keep material versatile for use by different people, we incorporate techniques and concepts from other systems, such as Jeet Kune Do, Modern Jujitsu, Kenpo and Military Combatives.
Tai Chi & Meditation (Ages 12 & up)

We offer Martial Artists and non-Martial Artists classes in Yang style Tai Chi. This art is both meditative and energizing, having aspects of healing and masked self-defense techniques. Current Martial Arts students enjoy the insight and experience gained to hone their techniques; non-practitioners will find this environment very accommodating for learning, gaining improved physical and mental health.
Combat Cane (Ages 14 & up)

Combat Cane is offered as both a stand-alone curriculum as well as a supplement to our Defensive Hapkido program, designed to teach students how to utilize the cane as a practical and legal self-defense tool in modern society. This class is the essential of self-defense instruction for those whom require the use of a walking instrument in their daily lives.
Weapons Class

Our Weapons Class is a supplement to our Taekwon-Do curriculum. This class offers a chance for students to gain further historical appreciation by training in traditional Martial Arts weapons. Instruction is offered for Bo staff, Escrima and Mini Tahn Bong, Kama, Tonfa, Nunchaku, Sai, Chinese and Korean Sword. Students who participate in weapons classes learn patterns which can be performed for demonstrations or competitions. Junior TKD students may perform weapons forms at their scheduled tests to earn their Weapons Proficiency.
Thai Boxing & Sparring

Thai Boxing and Sparring offers a no-pressure, no-ego class of heavy bag training, stretching, cardiovascular workouts and sparring training and coaching. Whether you’re training to stay trim and fit, or are getting ready for the next tournament, this class offers a little of everything for everyone.
