Grandmaster Frank Noguera

Our Senior Instructor is Grandmaster Frank Noguera. Kwanjangnim Noguera is one of the highest ranking and experienced Instructors in the Martial Arts world today.
His Martial Arts resume extends over 35 years. He formally held positions in both the International Combat Hapkido Federation and the Independent Tae Kwon Do Association. He is currently in charge of the Defensive Hapkido program offered at Northeast Martial Arts Center.
In addition to teaching, Master Noguera regularly conducts Seminars and clinics for other schools and Martial Arts systems, and has taught Police Defensive tactics to some of the most elite police groups, such as the New York State Troopers and the Military Police at the prestigious Military Academy at West Point.

Master James Garlin

Master James Garlin is the current owner and Head Instructor of Northeast Martial Arts Center. He is in charge of all children and adult Taekwon-Do and weapons programs, and is the Associate Director of Defensive Hapkido programs.
He has been actively involved in the study and practice of Martial Arts for almost 20 years. Currently, he holds ranks in Taekwon-Do, Hapkido, and Aikijujitsu.
In addition to teaching at Northeast Martial Arts Center, Master Garlin teaches Taekwon-Do Tigers classes for pre-school children with special needs, such as ADHD and Autism. He also conducts community seminars such as Child Safety, Stranger Danger, Self-Defense, and Women’s Assault and Rape Prevention.

Master Tom Mazzaferro

Master Tom Mazzaferro has studied Taekwon-Do for more than 28 years. As a 6th
degree Black Belt he has pursued his art under the direction of Grand Master Won Keun Bai and has also studied directly
with General Choi Hong Hi, Founder of Taekwon-Do.
Master Mazzaferro is considered to be an expert in the teaching and
execution of Taekwon-Do patterns and is dedicated to passing on this knowledge to the students. Beyond Taekwon-Do, Master
Mazzaferro also holds a Black Belt in Hapkido and has made a personal study of Yang style Tai Chi for the last eight
years.
